Shades

A New Beginning on the Edge of the Cosmos:

On the verge of space, where darkness reigned absolute, the Shades emerged long before the first stars illuminated the empty space. This was the Void's End, the point where the fabric of reality was the thinnest and the cosmic abyss was the strongest. The Shades were created from the very essence of darkness.

Nature and Purpose:

Shades are not beings in the traditional sense; they are dark entities, pure manifestations of the void, with a singular, unyielding purpose: to spread complete darkness across the universe. They exist in a state where negotiation or persuasion is impossible; their existence is their mission. They embody the concept of darkness not just as an absence of light but as an active, vile force with the intent to consume all that opposes it.

Influence and Mobility:

Shades have the ability to extend their influence far beyond their own origin, despite the fact that their power decreases as they move further away from the ultimate darkness. They are able to observe, stalk, and start manipulating technology and living things in places with partial darkness. Their influence is conditional on the existence of darkness, although their reach is vast. They use technology and life to further their objectives; they corrupt living things by adding darkness to their core, making them destructive agents, and they implant robots with dark cores so they can destroy everything in their path.

Death and Technology:

When creatures are consumed by Shades, they transform into walking, talking examples of vile. Their very nature corrupted to help bring an end to the light. Once powerful instruments of advancement, machines are now carriers of darkness as the Shades take presence in their core. These machines have evolved from simple constructions into agents of the vile force, created with the express purpose of wiping out life and all knowledge.

The Spread Across the Universe:

As the universe expanded, so did the reach of the Shades. They moved silently through the cosmos from one dark corner to another, spreading their influence. Each act of destruction, each life extinguished, and each light snuffed out adds to their power, making them stronger in their mission. Their presence in the universe is a testament to the eternal struggle between light and dark, where they represent the ultimate threat to all existence.
